Schools
A dependable care pathway for the sick bay.
Sick-bay support, parent communication, doctor escalation and referrals for schools.
What this programme covers
Each of these is confirmed in writing before a programme starts.
- Who is covered
- Which learners and staff the service includes, and when cover starts and ends.
- Nurse and matron workflow
- What the school's own staff do, and at what point they involve a Radius Health clinician.
- Parent consent
- How consent is obtained before a child is assessed, and what happens when a parent cannot be reached.
- Doctor and specialist escalation
- How a case moves from the sick bay to a doctor, and from a doctor to a specialist.
- Sick-bay support
- Equipment, guidance and records kept at the school.
- Mental-health education
- What is offered to learners and staff, and by whom.
- Referrals
- How a learner needing in-person care reaches it, and who accompanies them.
- Reporting
- What the school receives, how often, and what is excluded to protect a learner's privacy.
- Pricing
- The fee per learner per term, and what is outside it.
Safeguarding and consent
A learner is assessed with parent or guardian authority. Learner assent is sought where appropriate to their age and understanding. Record access is restricted, and safeguarding concerns follow the school's own child-protection procedure as well as ours.
