Terms of Service
What Radius Health provides, what it does not, and what each of us is responsible for.
This is a draft, not an approved notice
Radius Health's operating entity, registration and data-protection contact have not yet been confirmed, and this text has not been reviewed by a Ugandan legal or data-protection adviser. It sets out how the platform is built to handle your information, and it will be replaced by an approved notice before launch.
If you need a binding answer about your data today, please contact us rather than relying on this page.
Radius Health is not an emergency service
Online consultations are not for life-threatening emergencies. If someone is seriously ill or injured, go to the nearest emergency facility. Radius Health cannot send an ambulance, reach you physically, or guarantee a bed at another facility. See the emergency guidance.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and the entity operating Radius Health. That entity, its registration and its licences are being confirmed and will be named here. By creating an account or booking a consultation, you accept them.
2. What the service is
Radius Health connects you to qualified clinicians for online consultations, and coordinates what follows — prescriptions where appropriate, test requests, referrals, and a record of your care you can return to.
Clinical decisions are made by the clinician you consult, using their own professional judgement. Radius Health provides the platform and coordinates the care; it does not overrule a clinician, and it does not practise medicine itself.
3. What this service is not
- Not an emergency service. We support and coordinate; we do not replace an ambulance, a physical emergency team or a hospital emergency unit.
- Not a substitute for examination. Many problems need someone to look, listen or touch. Your clinician will tell you when that is the case and refer you.
- Not a pharmacy. Radius Health does not dispense medicines. An eligible prescription is sent to a licensed pharmacy, which decides whether it can fulfil it.
- Not unlimited specialist access. Specialist availability depends on the specialty, the case and the specialist's own schedule. We do not promise any doctor anywhere.
- Not a guarantee of outcome. No clinician can promise a diagnosis, a recovery or a particular result, and nothing on this site should be read as promising one.
- Not a crisis service. Mental-health support here is scheduled care. If you are at immediate risk, seek urgent in-person help.
4. Your account
- Give accurate information about yourself and your health. A clinician can only advise on what they are told, and an incomplete history can lead to unsafe advice.
- Keep your password to yourself. Your account holds your medical records.
- You must be 18 or over to hold an account. A parent or legal guardian books for a child through their own account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
5. Booking, fees and refunds
- The full consultation fee is shown before you pay. There is no mandatory subscription to see a price or book.
- Fees are quoted in Ugandan shillings. Where another currency is shown for convenience, the conversion and its source are stated.
- Tests, medicines and services arranged with third parties are charged by those providers and shown separately.
- If a payment fails, no confirmed booking is created and you can try again.
- If a consultation cannot go ahead because of a problem on our side, you are refunded. Cancellation terms for the service you booked are shown at booking.
6. Prescriptions
A prescription is issued only after an appropriate clinical assessment, and only where it is appropriate and lawful. Some medicines cannot be prescribed remotely at all. A pharmacist reviews every prescription before dispensing and may decline it. Asking for a specific medicine does not entitle you to receive it.
7. Using the service properly
Do not use Radius Health to obtain medicines by deception, to seek care for someone else without their knowledge, to record a clinician without consent, or to abuse staff. Do not attempt to access another person's records or interfere with the platform.
We may suspend an account where this happens. Where care is already underway, we will not leave you without a safe next step.
8. Availability
The service depends on internet connectivity, your device and third-party providers, and may be interrupted for maintenance. Consultations fall back from video to audio, and to chat where the connection is weak. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.
9. Complaints
Clinical concerns and service complaints are documented, reviewed and escalated under our clinical governance policy. Raising a complaint does not affect the care you receive. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may take it to the relevant professional or regulatory body.
10. Your data
How your information is collected, used, shared and protected is set out in the Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms. Health data is sensitive personal data under Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act.
11. Changes, and the law that applies
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects you, we will say so rather than quietly amending the page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda . Nothing here removes a right you have under Ugandan consumer or health law.
